Leave your centrally located Dubai hotel in an air-conditioned coach and enjoy the desert views on your way to Al Ain. Known as the 'Garden City' for its green parks, this lovely city nestles near the Hajar Mountains on the border with Oman.

After roughly 1.5 hours, stop at the Hili Archaeological Park, home to Bronze Age remains. See the relics of settlements dating from 2,500 to 400 BC, and a tomb from the 3rd century BC, whose walls are engraved with carvings.

Continue to Al Ain National Museum to admire its Bronze Age exhibits and reconstruction of the Hili Tomb. Then, visit Al Jahili Fort, one of the UAE’s most historic buildings. Explore this beautiful, crenelated fort, built in 1891, and discover its historic role of guarding Al Ain’s oasis.

Next, delve into Al Ain Oasis and see the falaj (irrigation channels) that weave between the palm trees. These over-ground channels flow with water from boreholes and are based on a system that has been used in Arabia for thousands for years.

After a lunch stop (own expense), visit Sheikh Zayed Palace Museum, the former residence of the UAE’s late founder, His Highness Sheikh Zayed. Then, drive to the foot of Jebel Hafeet, the 4,098-foot (1,249-meter) mountain that looms over the city. See the hot springs that gush up here and perhaps cool your feet in the streams.

Finish at the Camel Market, where locals bring their camels, goat and sheep to sell. Get close up to the camels and as you explore, hear the traders negotiating the prices for their animals.

Afterward, travel back Dubai and finish your tour with a hotel drop-off.

Please note: the order of activities as described above may be subject to change on the day of the tour.
