The Manta Ray Night Dive is one of the top night dives in the world! Come enjoy a late afternoon dive before sunset off the Kona Coast followed by the amazing manta ray night dive. The manta rays are not seasonal animals and are seen 85% of the time!This tour begins in the late afternoon at the Honokohau Harbor slip #32.5. Meet time is dependent upon the setting of the sun, between 2:30-4:00pm. Divers can sign an electronic waiver prior to the activity or go to the shop to sign a paper waiver. All divers are required to show proof of certification. The Captain will give a safety briefing prior to departing the harbor. There is a 30 minute boat ride to the dive site. Divers will be given a thorough briefing on the dive site and what they can expect to see on the first dive. The afternoon dive is approximately 45-60 minutes where the professional guide will lead a tour of the reef. During the surface interval divers have a bite to eat, watch the sunset, and learn about the manta rays. Approximately 25 minutes after sunset the divers will enter the water for the manta ray night dive lead by a professional guide. Divers will settle on the bottom of the ocean floor in approximately 35ft of water. The dive will last 45-50 minutes long. After the night dive the divers will return to the boat for cup of hot chocolate to enjoy on the 30-40 minute boat ride back to the harbor.
