Afterwards you will take a walk around the city with your guide, who will show you the Rotunda St. George, St. Nedelya church, Banya Bashi, Mosque and the Synagogue. Next stop will be Central Hali Market where traditional sweets like baklava and tolumbichki will be tasted. The local guide will show you the beautiful buildings of the National Theater, King’s palace, Presidency and will lead us to the Art Club, which is a favorite place for the locals. Here, we will stop for a snack and try the world famous Shopska salad, prepared with fresh cucumbers, tomatoes, cheese and spices, as well as a cup of a traditional Bulgarian drink ayryan, prepared from yogurt. Tour through the Rotunda St. George, St. Nedelya church, Banya Bashi, Mosque and the Synagogue, situated in a square called The Small Jerusalem because in a 5-minute walk one can see very important monuments and temples of 3 religions.

Then we will visit Central Hali Market – a building with more than 100 years of history. With architecture from the beginning of 20th century, it is now a modern market mall. Here we may taste typical sweets like baklava and tolumbichki, buy fresh fruits and vegetables and also get some nuts or sausages. After that we will catch the newest underground train in Europe for one stop to the Lions’ Bridge. Nearby there is a typical Bulgarian restaurant – 4 houses, with common garden, which presents the architecture and furniture from 19th century from 4 different corners of Bulgaria. Here you will taste fantastic Bulgarian wine together with different meat cuts – meze: lukanka, babek, fillet Elena, pastarma. Here the tour ends, but you may continue the tasting with different hot or cold appetizers, dishes, and desserts from the fantastic Bulgarian cuisine.
