Located 47 miles south of Chiang Mai, the Royal Twin Pagoda sits atop Doi Inthanon National Park. At 8,000 feet above sea level, it marks both the highest peak in Thailand, and your destination on this fully guided small group hike.
An early start is essential for this spectacular journey. From easy strolling to a sweat breaking hike, you will be engulfed in fresh air and surrounded by beautiful scenery along the way.
Itinerary:
8.30am: With your destination and goal in sight, you set off with your guide. Conserved in 1954 as a National Park, the primitive forest provides you with spectacular scenic nature trails and rain-forest boardwalks.
Your efforts are rewarded as the splendid architecture of the Royal TWIN Pagoda comes into view. Dedicated to the King Bhumibol and Queen Sirikit, the pagoda is made or twin marble and looks out over the Hmong Hill Tribe Village.
As you head toward the Hmong Hill Tribe Village, your decent has begun. Enjoy a pleasant walk to the beautiful Mea Glang and Vachiratara Waterfalls and after a suitable amount of rest and a renewed charge of energy you continue your decent back to your base.
5pm: Your transfer is waiting to take you back to your hotel or, time permitting, you are welcome to partake in the other activities (available at an additional cost).
