Day 1–Saturday
BUCHAREST
Arrival in Bucharest. Pick-up from the airport and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is free. In the evening you meet your tour guide and the fellow travellers.

Day 2–Sunday
FULL DAY TOUR OF BUCHAREST
-Panoramic city tour
-Walking tour (The Revolution Square and old town)
-Visit the Palace of the Parliament

BUCHAREST–CURTEA DE ARGES–SIBIU
- Visit Curtea de Arges Monastery.

Day 4–Tuesday
SIBIU–SIGHISOARA–CLUJ NAPOCA
- Walking tour of Sibiu; considered to be one of the most beautiful Romanian towns, Sibiu was awarded the official title of 2007 European Capital of Culture.
- Visit the impressive Saxon fortified church of Biertan (UNESCO Heritage).
- Walking tour in Sighisoara, the birthplace of Vlad the Impaler (also known as Dracula); visit the medieval citadel : the Clock Tower and the Church on the Hill.
- Panoramic tour of Targu Mures.
Overnight in Cluj Napoca.
Day 5–Wednesday
CLUJ NAPOCA–SURDESTI–SAPANTA–SIGHET-VADU IZEI
- Visit the UNESCO site of Surdesti wooden church.
- Visit the famous Merry Cemetery with carved and painted crosses on which the artisan has chiseled out versified epitaphs, most of them full of a remarkable sense of humor.
- Visit Peri Convent, the tallest wooden structure in the world.
- Visit Sighet communist prison
- Visit and accommodation (room with private bathroom) in a local guest house, where you'll enjoy a rich dinner.
Overnight in Vadu Izei.
Day 6–Thursday
VADU IZEI–BARSANA–DRAGOMIRESTI–MOLDOVITA–SUCEVITA
- Visit Toader Barsan’s house, a local wood carver who took part at the Smithsonian World Festival in Washington.
- Visit Barsana Convent.
- Lunch at the Dracula Castle Hotel in Borgo Pass.
- Visit the Convent of Moldovita (UNESCO Monument) famous for its “Siege of Constantinople” fresco.
- Visit Sucevita Monastery, which is the largest of all, boasting the best preserved frescoes of Bucovina.
Overnight in Sucevita.
Day 7–Friday
SUCEVITA–VORONET–BICAZ–SZEKLERLAND
- Visit the most famous painted monastery of all, Voronet Convent (UNESCO Monument) boasting the Doomsday scene, unique in the whole world.
- Drive to the core of the Hungarian minority, in Szeklerland.
- Accommodation in a manor house. Prepare yourself to step back in time…
Overnight in Szeklerland.
Day 8–Saturday
SZEKLERLAND–BRASOV–BRAN–SINAIA–BUCHAREST
- Walking tour of Brasov with visit of the old downtown: the Black Church, the Council Square, the Rope Street
- Visit the famous Bran castle also known as Dracula’s castle
- Visit Peles Royal Castle from Sinaia, one of the most beautiful castles in the whole Europe.
Overnight in Bucharest.

In the morning free time in Bucharest and transfer to the airport.
