Take an exciting 8-day discovery tour on a stylish and beautifully appointed sailing ship. Your tour starts in Amsterdam and takes you along the IJsselmeer coast.
After your arrival on day 1, you will have time in the afternoon and evening to stroll around the city, visit a museum, the flea market or take a canal cruise in Amsterdam.
Start your second day with the first bike tour through the nature reserve of Waterland.The bike ride ends in the port town of Monnickendam, where you will also spend the night.
Enjoy a bike ride from Monnickendam via Volendam, Edam, De Rijp and Schermerhorn to Hoorn on your third day. Visit a cheese factory, take a break in Volendam’s bustling harbor and stroll through the narrow streets of the old whaling village of de Rijp along the way.
On day 4, you will cycle along the old dike on the IJsselmeer from Hoorn to Enkhuizen in the morning. Have lunch on board the ship in the port of Enkhuizen and sail across the Ijsselmeer to the traditional fishing village of Urk.
Day 5 will start with a ride along the water to the former island of Schokland, which since land was reclaimed is now completely surrounded by terra firma. Attractive cycle paths run alongside the former coastline. You will cycle back to Urk and then board the vessel and set sail for Lemmer in the province of Friesland.
On day 6 will be a bike tour starting in Lemmer on the rolling hills of Gaasterland with its idyllic villages alongside the Frisian lakes such as De Morra and Fluessen. Along the way you pass the historic center of the small town of Sloten. You then cycle via Molkwerum, a village with numerous small canals to Stavoren, the oldest town in Friesland.
On day 7 you will start with your return from Enkhuizen along the IJsselmeer coast to Amsterdam. If you wish, you can take an active part in sailing the vessel. In the afternoon you reach the Dutch capital and still have time to explore the city center of the capital of the Netherlands.
