Explore the highlights of South Holland on a 8-day trip and visit famous historical towns, picturesque cities and beautiful landscape in the ‘green heart’ of Holland.Arrive in Amsterdam on your first day, explore the city on your own in the afternoon and start your 8-day tour at 6pm. Enjoy a breakfast cruise to Breukelen and the first day of cycling on your second day. Continue to Rotterdam in the afternoon and explore the city on a short walking tour in the evening.
On day 3 you will be enjoying a cycle tour tot Delft. Visit the beautiful city center with its small canals, picturesque streets, bridges and alleys. Enjoy a dinner cruise from Rotterdam to Dordrecht as well as a short city walk in the evening. Travel by ship from Dordrecht to Kinderdijk to visit Kinderdijk (UNESCO World Cultural Heritage) with its 19 windmills in line on the next day. Have the choice between a longer bike tour with a visit to the beautiful cheese city of Gouda or a short bike tour through the Alblasserwaard and enjoy a small cheese tasting in the evening on-board.
On day 5 you will have the opportunity to do a cycle tour from Schoonhoven through the beautiful “Green Heart” of Holland. Visit a traditional cheese farm near Oudewater where you can also buy delicious farm-made Gouda cheese. Enjoy on-board live music in the evening.
Day 6 is an extraordinary day for a cycle tour with two bike tours, both leading to Haarlem: the longer tour leads through the dunes via Bloemendaal and Zandvoort and along the North Sea coast and the shorter tour leads through the inland to Haarlem. Sail to Zaandam by ship in the evening.
On your 7th day you can enjoy a bike ride from Zaandam to the open air museum „Zaanse Schans“ with its traditional wooden houses, windmills, cheese farm and wooden shoe „clog“ manufacture. Continue your bike tour through the recreational area „Twiske“ to Amsterdam. Spend the afternoon and evening in Amsterdam and have the opportunity to enjoy a canal cruise if you didn’t do so on your first day before your 8-day tour ends on the next day.
