Upon arrival at Colombo Bandaranayake International Airport, you will be welcomed by your guide and transferred to Anuradhapura and check in to the hotel. Relax for the rest of the day and stay overnight in Anuradhapura.
Day 02: Anuradhapura (Discover the 1st capital of Sri Lanka)
Visit the cultural monuments of the first capital founded in the 5th century BC. There are the largest number of ancient monuments of a great civilization of Sinhalese. Buddhism found its first home in Sri Lanka in Anuradhapura and it contains some of Sri Lankan Buddhism's most sacred sites. Overnight stay in Anuradhapura.
Day 03: Polonnaruwa
After breakfast leave for Polonnaruwa Ancient City, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Once the Capital of Sri Lanka from 11th-13th centuries still contains some splendid and spectacular statues, walkways and palaces among the forestry surrounded by the wildlife. Overnight stay in Polonnaruwa.
Day 04: Sigiriya - Dambulla
Drive to Dambulla and en-route visit Sigiriya Rock Fortress. This rock fortress was built by King Kasyapa in the 5th century A.D. and was a royal citadel for more than 18 years. The summit of the rock with an area of nearly one hectare was the site of the palace and the outer wall was built on the very brink of the precipice. The UNESCO - sponsored Central Cultural Fund has restored Sigiriya 5th century Water Gardens to their former glory. Arrive Dambulla and overnight stay in Dambulla.
Day 05: Dambulla - Kandy
Leave for Kandy and en-route visit Dambulla Cave Temple. The Dambulla cave monasteries were born when the fleeing King Walagamba took refuge in these caves. Upon regaining the throne he built this monastery in memory of his days there. There are five caves that house 167 Buddha Statues and over 2,100 square meters of Buddhist murals. Proceed to Kandy via Matale Spice village.
Overnight stay in Kandy.
Day 06: Kandy (City Tour)
After breakfast we visit Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya, a suburb city of Kandy. Join a local market walking tour and learn more about this city. Kandy was the last capital of Sri Lanka and was home to the last king of Sri Lanka Sri WickramaRajasingha. In the afternoon, you can see a cultural show and the famous Temple of the Tooth, or called the Sri Dalada Maligawa. Overnight stay in Kandy.
Day 07: Kandy - Colombo
Drive to Colombo, en-route visit the Highway Museum, tea factory, Captain Dawson Tower and Kadugannawa Pass. After lunch break, proceed to Pinnawala , Kelani Vihara, and some attractions in Colombo. Evening relax in Galle Face Green. Overnight stay in Colombo.
Day 08: Colombo
There is no itinerary planned for the day. You will be transferred to the airport for your onward journey.
Upon arrival at Colombo Bandaranayake International Airport, you will be welcomed by your guide and transferred to Anuradhapura and check in to the hotel. Relax for the rest of the day and stay overnight in Anuradhapura.
