DAILY PROGRAM
1st day
Arrival in Viterbo and check-in at the B&B or mini-apartment located in the medieval old town. Meet at 1pm for the welcome lunch and in the afternoon, you'll have a guided tour of the city of Viterbo.
2nd day
Meet at 8:30am and leave for Civitella D’Agliano for the visit at an ancient winery. This tour shows off of its historic wine cellars, with a wine tasting and lunch. In the afternoon, the group will continue on to Civita di Bagnoregio for a guided tour of the famous “dying city”.
3rd day
Meet at 8:30am and leave for the tour of the Archaeological Park of Vulci, with a lunch in the park afterwards featuring game meats. In the evening, you’ll continue with a visit of the medieval city of Tuscania and its wonderful archaeological sites. Afterwards, it'll be time for an aperitif featuring authentic local delicacies.
4th day
Meet at 8:30am and leave for the tour of Bolsena with the visit of the village, the medieval castle and the catacombs. You'll have a lunch featuring authentic dishes from the Lake Bolsena area and in the afternoon, a guided boat trip on Lake Bolsena followed by an aperitif featuring authentic local delicacies. During the winter months, the boat trip will be replaced by a tour of the Bolsena workshops.
5th day
Meet at 8:30am and leave for a visit of the extraordinary Wine Museum of Castiglione in Teverina, with a tour, lunch and wine tasting at an organic winery. In the afternoon, you'll have a relaxing stop at the Termedei Papi thermal spa for a rejuvenating bath in its warm sulfurous waters.
6th day
Meet at 8:30am and leave for a tour of the medieval Farnese Hermitages carved into the rock, with a picnic on the site. In the afternoon, we’ll take you to visit the Palazzo Farnese in Caprarola followed by an aperitif featuring authentic local delicacies. During the winter months, the tour will take you to visit the Renaissance Villa Lante instead of the excursion to the Farnese Hermitages, with a lunch in Viterbo in an authentic restaurant.
7th day
Breakfast, check out and a free day for some last-minute shopping or you have the ability to visit the Colle del Duomo Museum.
