Day 1 - Darwin, Katherine & East Kimberley (L)
Travel along the Stuart Highway, first stop being the Katherine River where there is time for a short swim and break. Enroute to the Kimberley, drive through Judbarra National Park, displaying some of Australia’s most dramatic escarpments. In the late afternoon, cross the WA border into the Kimberley.
Overnight Kununurra
Day 2 – Bungle Bungles (L,D)
Kununurra was originally constructed as a support base for the Ord River Irrigation Scheme, but today is a thriving community filling a vital role in supporting the surrounding local economy. Continue your journey south onto the Great Northern Highway. This is classic Durack Country and one of the most picturesque routes in the Kimberley.

Day 3 – Bungle Bungles & Wyndham (B,L,D)
Tackle the rugged 4wd terrain of the Osmond Range, crossing several creeks and rivers. Embark on a hike into the famous Bungle Bungle Range. Trek Piccinnini Creek and Cathedral Gorge and admire the outstanding features of this unique semi-arid Kimberley zone. There is an opportunity for a helicopter flight (own expense). Continue onto Wyndham, one of the oldest and greatest pioneering towns of The Kimberley and experience one of the most expansive views at Five Rivers Lookout.

Day 4 – Elquestro & Emma Gorge (B,L)
This morning takes you to the beautiful Emma Gorge on Elquestro Wilderness Park. Hike into the gorge to a tall waterfall with a large plunge pool. Travel further West along the Gibb River Road and over the Pentecost River. Upon arrival at Home Valley, prepare for your safari to one of the hidden treasures of the Kimberley– Bindoola Falls.

Day 5 – Elquestro & Lake Argyle (B,L,D)
On return to Elquestro we visit their premier attraction, Zebedee Springs. Zebedee is a true tropical oasis nestled in a natural palm forest, with lukewarm water flowing from the surrounding sandstone cliffs through a series of cascades and rock holes. After a picnic lunch on the banks of the Ord River, board a boat for a breathtaking sunset cruise on Lake Argyle. Before returning to the mainland we have time to enjoy a sunset swim with drinks and canapés while admiring this truly magnificent and inspiring result of twentieth century human engineering.

Day 6 – Katherine (B,L)
This morning, head for the Northern Territory border, then onto Katherine. Pass through Katherine in the late afternoon and take a short break and refreshing swim in the Katherine Thermal Springs. A perfect way to end today’s journey.

Day 7 – Darwin (B,L)
Hit the road again and before long, reach the gorgeous Edith Falls where there is time for a swim and snorkel, and a picnic lunch. The last leg of your journey will take you to Darwin where you will be taken to your prebooked accommodation.
