7-Day Jamaica Sightseeing Tour

Arrival day with no planned activities. Welcome meeting with your tour leader and other group members will be at 5:30pm.

Day 2, Sunday – Montego Bay (B, L)

Spend the day with the Rastafarians at the Rasta Village. Learn their history, lifestyle choices, their use of plants as remedies and eat their “ital” food. Commune with the Rastafarians, play Rasta drums and chant theirs songs. This encounter is fully guided by Rastafarians who will meet the group at the Montego River Gardens to lead you into “a day in the life” Rastafari experience. Truly an entertaining uncovering of a unique subculture that is unparalleled in its influence on Jamaica.

Day 3, Monday – Montego Bay/Treasure Beach (B)

Visit the Appleton Estate Rum Factory and see sugar cane become magically transformed into Jamaica’s premium rums. Sample blends for age, taste and strength, then pick up a bottle (or two) to take home. Then end the tour at the bar where you are allowed to serve yourself! From Appleton you will head to Treasure Beach with a stop in Middle Quarters (famous for peppered shrimp) to experience Jamaican street food for lunch or you can opt instead to try the local fast food, called the patty, available with different types of fillings. After lunch you will make your way to Treasure Beach where you will take up lodgings for the next two nights.

Day 4, Tuesday – Treasure Beach (B, L)

Enjoy an experience to Dolphin Quest, Black River Safari and the Pelican Bar. Take a local boat ride to search for dolphins and crocodiles in their natural habitat with local lunch included. Then head to the Pelican Bar, a mass of driftwood, nailed together to create a basic structure, covered by a palm thatch roof and supported by stilts, sitting on a sandbar in the middle of the ocean. If you do not wish to participate in this included activity, other options to enjoy from Treasure Beach are YS Falls and Lovers Leap.

Day 5, Wednesday – Treasure Beach/Negril (B)

Travel to Negril to visit the popular Rick's Cafe on the western edge of the island. You’ll experience the amazing Negril sunset with picturesque views and the thrill of watching the famous cliff diving.

Visit Seven Mile Beach in Negril for seven miles of white sand beach that will be yours to soak up all day long! Walk the beach, visit the cliffs, rock dive, scuba dive, wind surf, parasail or do nothing at all and relax in a hammock. At you new residence in Negril you can enjoy the perfect Jamaican night including a live Reggae show on the beach. Do as much or as little as you like– Negril is yours!

Day 7, Friday – Negril (B)

Departure day with no planned activities. Transportation will be arranged for those who are leaving Negril or additional accommodations will be made for those what want to stay longer in Jamaica!
