From Austria head to the German beer capital Munich to further quench your thirst for beer. If the dates coincide, take part in the legendary Oktoberfest celebrations.

Day 1: Arrive Salzburg
On you arrival in Salzburg, you will be given a briefing at the hotel. Your beer tour will begin today evening with Die Weiße, a wheat beer brewery, and the Augustinerbräu.

Day 2: Salzburg – Franking, Cycling
The 3-day cycling expedition to the hidden gems in the history of beer brewing begins today. You will ride along the rivers Salzach and Saalach to reach Bavaria. Here you will taste the beer of the Schönramer Brewery. You will then proceed to Lake Abtsdorfer and visit the Silent Night chapel before arriving at Franking via the Salzachauen. You will retire here for the night.

Day 3: Franking – Trumer Lakes, Cycling
Today the cycling expedition takes you through Ibmer Moor, a nature reserve, and past the Schnaitl Brewery, till you reach the Benedictine abbey at Michaelbeuern. The path continues over a hill called Haunsberg and down to the Trumer lakes, the place of the award winning beer producers of Austria 'Creativ Brauerei’ and “Privatbrauerei Trumer’. You can have a perennial supply of beer for the evening in the beer garden of the Brewery Inn.

Day 4: Trumer Lakes - Salzburg, Cycling
Today you cycle from Obertrum via Seekirchen to Eugendorf. The cycle path was built right on the erstwhile Ischl train tracks leading to the old part of Salzburg town. Today the beer highlights await you at the Stiegl Brauwelt and the Kastners Schenke with its Kloanen Brauhaus. Later you can explore old Salzburg, rich with baroque architecture.

Day 5: Salzburg – Munich
The journey begins today when you board a train to Munich. On arrival you can check into your hotel and are free to explore the city on your own. In the evening a Bavarian Beer and Food tour has been organised for you where you learn the fascinating story of German brewing.

Day 6: Munich
The morning is free for you to explore Munich on your own or better still head to Oktoberfest Gardens, Munich’s famous beer festival where beer tents are available. You can enjoy yourself with hundreds of other people singing, dancing and having fun in the world’s greatest folk festival. After spending the entire day at festival you can head back for Munich.

Day 7: Departure from Munich
The trip ends today and you are free to go on your onward journey.
