Experience a combination of a camping trek and home stay in one of the
least explored trekking trails in Nepal. This Ruby Valley trek offers
the opportunity to see traditional culture of the Gurung people and an
excellent view of Gensh Himal, Lantang, and the Manaslu ranges. This is a
7-day private tour that includes breakfast, lunch and dinner. Day 1:
You'll be picked up from your hotel in the Thamel area and you'll be transferred to Kathmandu Bus station to board a public vehicle to Kaule Gaon via Trishuli Bazaar on a shared basis. Once you arrive in Kaule Gaon, you'll start your trek to Nujet which is about a 1-hour walk. Your lunch and dinner is provided. You'll spend the night at a local house.
Day 2:
In the morning, you'll start your uphill climb to Gonga Village (5-hour walk). You'll stop on the hill ridge that offers excellent views of the Ganesh Himal Range. Your lunch and dinner is provided and you'll spend the night in a tent where camp will be set up on the hill ridge.
Day 3:
After breakfast at your camp, you'll start your trek to Rupchet (5-hour walk). You'll walk through farmlands, pine and juniper forests. You'll witness the lifestyle of rural Nepalese people residing on the Hilly terrain. Your overnight accommodations will be set up for you by our crew. You will be provided lunch and dinner and you'll spend a night in a tent in Rupchet.
Day 4:
Today is one of the highlights of your trek. You'll start your walk in the early morning with an uphill climb to Singla/Machhermo Pass (3850m). Once you have reached the top, you will get an excellent view of Ganesh Himal, Langtang range, Manaslu and the Central Himalayan Ranges. You'll cross a pass and reach Chalish Gaon where you'll be welcomed by traditional local people. If lucky you'll also see traditional Gurung dances which includes Ghode dance, Jhankari Shaman dance etc. Your overnight accommodation will be with a local family at the village. Your lunch and dinner is provided, along with your overnight stay in a local house.
Day 5:
It's all about you. You'll enjoy a free day to explore the village area. You can enjoy an excursion to the Hot Springs if you wish. Your lunch and dinner is provided along with your accommodation at a local residence.
Day 6:
You'll start your day with your trek down to Dundre Khola via Jharland village through dense forest and farm lands (7-hour walk). Your lunch and dinner is provided and you'll stay overnight with another local family at a local residence.
Day 7:
You'll board a local jeep on a shared basis that will take you to Dhading Besi. Your drive to Dhading Besi will take approximately 5 hours. Once you arrive in Dhading Besi, you'll be transferred to Kathmandu via the public bus. The drive to Kathmandu will take approximately 3 hours. You'll then be transferred to your hotel in Kathmandu and will conclude your tour.
