Travel the full circle road around Iceland in 6 days and visit the best highlights the island has to offer, with an experienced guide and a small group. You will explore the Golden Circle, the South Coast, Skaftafell, East Fjords and Lake Mývatn and more. This tour also includes adventurous activities such as glacier hiking, whale watching and hiking. Day 1

The day starts with a pick-up from your accommodation in Reykjavík. First we head out to explore the famous Golden Circle, including the historic UNESCO site of Þingvellir National Park where Iceland established their parliament back in the year 930 AD, Geysir hot springs and magnificent Gullfoss waterfall. Next we head to the beautiful South Coast. We will stop at the scenic Seljalandsfoss and Skógarfoss Waterfalls and the final stop of the day is at Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach, Reynisdrangar peaks and the basalt column cave. After that we make our way to our country hotel in Vík area.

Day 2

We will continue traveling along the South Coast in the direction of Skaftafell and Vatnajökull National Park. In Skaftafell we will take a 3 hour long glacier hike on one of Vatnajökull outlet glaciers guided by our skilled glacier guides. After that we drive little further to Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon where we can expect to see floating icebergs and the occasional seals. Next to the lagoon we check out black sand crystal beach, which is usually filled with clear icebergs. For the evening we will stay at the town of Höfn.

Day 3

The first sightseeing stop, at Stokksnes and Vestrahorn mountain. Next we will drive the scenic coastline of the East Fjords to Egilsstaðir. On the way to Egilsstaðir, we will go for a 3 hour hike to Hengifoss, which falls into a beautiful gorge. We then go to our accommodation for the night in a cozy country hotel.

Day 4

Our first stop is at the magnificent Dettifoss Waterfall, the largest waterfall of Iceland. Next we head to the Lake Mývatn area, the first stop is at Volcanic site of Námaskarð geothermal area filled with mud pools. Next we stop at Hverfjall crater and Dimmuborgir lava, where we will explore on foot. We will continue to drive the circle around the Lake Mývatn. After Mývatn we will drive in the direction to Akureyri with a stop on the way at Goðafoss Waterfall, we stay at a country hotel nearby Akureyri.

Day 5

We start exploring the town of Akureyri. Then we go for a 3 hour whale watching tour in Eyjafjörður fjord, where we have the opportunity to see humpback whales and white-beaked dolphins. Also there‘s an option of trying out sea angling. Next we will travel the Tröllaskagi Peninsula, and stopping at the cozy village of Siglufjörður. Next we will head to West Iceland where stay at hotel.

Day 6

We will explore the part of West Iceland, that was voted one of the best destinations in 2016 by Lonely Planet. We will stop at Deildartunguhver hot springs, Europe‘s most powerful hot spring. Next we check out Hraunfossar waterfalls that flows from underneath the lava field and Barnafoss waterfall. Our final stop of the day is at the historic site of Reykholt. We will then head back to Reykjavík, completing our circle in the afternoon.
