Meet your guide and drive to Kpalime with some visits on the way.
Half day trekking in a virgin rain forest.

Day 2: KLOTO - SOKODE
Arrival at Sokode in the late afternoon.
In the evening, fire dance:
Overnight on B&B basis at Hotel Central or similar.
Day 3: SOKODE – BASSAR - KARA
Further West we visit the region inhabited by the Bassar. They live in large clay houses with conical roofs and keep the secret of the very old process of iron production.
Continue to Kara
Hotel Kara or similar.
Day 4: KARA – ATAKORA - KARA
Entering the land of the Tamberma who live in fortified dwellings which look just like small medieval castles and are therefore one of the most beautiful examples of ancient African architecture.
Drive back to Kara. Visit on the way of a Kabyé village. Within each house lives one patriarchal family. Very interesting: The blacksmiths who still work with heavy stones instead of hammers.

Day 5: KARA - NOTSE
We reach Atakpame. This pretty city, surrounded by hills, lies along the railroad running north from Lome, the capital, to Blitta.
Continue to Notsé, the ancestral city of the Ewe People.
Hotel Le Berceau or similar.
Day 6: NOTSE – VOGAN - LOME
Today the trip moves to East to explore a region rarely visited by tourists.
Meeting in a small village with a traditional healer who treats his patients with voodoo rites and herbs. We will visit a sacred village inhabited by the Guen. In a remote hidden village we will join a Voodoo ceremony: the voodoo spirits take possession of some of the dancers who fall into a deep trance.
Drive back to Lome.
