Day 1 Arrival in Cluj
Welcome to Romania and Cluj-Napoca, the so-called city of arts!
Overnight in Cluj-Napoca
Day 2 Cluj-Napoca- Breb- Sapanta- Sighetu Marmatiei
Romania has many places where old traditions are well preserved and you can discover the way people used to live back in the old days.
We begin our journey to Maramures, a region which keeps its customs very well and you will be able to enjoy the local culture. We will start discovering this place’s symbols at Breb, a lost village among the hills, known for its traditional wooden houses. The Communist days in Romania had a dark side. We will visit the Memorial of the Victims of Communism, a reflections of the horrors of those days. However we will end our day in a happy note by visiting the one of a kind Merry Cemetery from Sapanta where you will be surprised by the vivid colors of the crosses and the amusing or satirical epitaphs carved on the tombs.

Day 3 Sighetu Marmatiei- Viseu de Sus- Ieud- Sighetu Marmatiei
Northern Romania has many more to offer. Your day will start with a beautiful view over this region from a small steam train called mocanita. To remain in the region’s atmosphere, lunch will be taken in the middle of the nature. Maramures has many churches part of the UNESCO Patrimony. We will visit the Small Church from Ieud and the church from Poienile Izei. At the end of the day you will savor a party where local musicians will delight you in Romanian customs.
Overnight in Sighetu Marmatiei
Day 4 Sighetu Marmatiei- Moldovita- Sucevita
You will continue your journey in the the neighboring region, Bucovina where you will start discovering the painted monasteries, combining Romanian art with the Byzantine spirit and other attractions of this place reflecting local traditions. Today’s itinerary includes two of the highlights: Moldovita and Sucevita monasteries.

Day 5 Sucevita- Marginea- Voronet- Gura Humorului
You will start the day by discovering some secrets of the art of black pottery from the local craftsmen. Here is the only place in Europe where this kind of pottery is made. We continue our tour of the painted monasteries with Voronet, part of the UNESCO Patrimony, well known for its frescoes featuring an intense shade of blue.

Day 6 Gura Humorului- Cluj Napoca
We leave the spectacular landscapes of Bucovina behind, cross the mountains and head off to the airport.
