The tour begins on Sukhumvit Road. Follow your guide away from the jam-packed roads of Bangkok. The route takes us through a working-class neighborhood rarely visited by tourists, where you can experience yet another side of the metropolis of Bangkok into the lively Khlong Toey market. Here we find a colorful blend of Thai and Chinese goods. You’ll also head through “Little Chinatown” on your way towards the river, where children and locals enthusiastically wave and shout “hello” at the unusual sight of foreigners on bicycles.
We cross the Chao Praya river in a long tail boat and enter a green park area called Phra Pradaeng, where we cycle on narrow elevated pathways through the mangrove and traditional Bangkok communities. We then dine at a local home or restaurant, where you will feel the hospitality for which Thais are known.
