Day 1 - Sunday
We will pick you up from a main location in Jerusalem and Tel-Aviv and drive to Hogla, a moshav in central Israel. We will visit an organic farm, relax with yoga, and learn how to cook healthy vegetarian dishes. After the cooking workshop and lunch we will drive to Caesarea and walk in the archaeological site: the old port, the Roman ruins from King Herod’s period including the Roman theater preserved almost entirely, and the Crusader city ruins. We will end the day in Haifa with a light dinner. Overnight in Haifa.
Day 2 - Monday
The day will begin with a vegetarian Druze cuisine cooking workshop at Daliyat El-Carmel, a Druze village near Haifa. In this unique workshop we will cook with Chef Nora in her kitchen. The courses are traditional Mediterranean Druze cuisine including stuffed grape leaves, rice with lentil, okra in tomato sauce, Druze sweets and more. After lunch we will have free time at Daliyat El-Carmel market where you can find beautiful souvenirs. In the afternoon we will drive to the Galilee to visit a local winery. The guided tour of the winery will include the fermentation tanks, the barrel room, the bottling line and an example for vineyard where you can taste grapes in the harvest season. We will taste wines and understand what makes wine a good one. Overnight in the Galilee.
Day 3 - Tuesday
We will visit Amirim, a vegetarian moshav in northern Israel, and learn how to make a vegan gourmet: portobello mushrooms with roasted potatoes, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and thyme, artichoke stuffed with nuts and herbs, pears in wine with walnuts cream, and more. After the workshop and the delicious lunch we will drive to Tel-Aviv and enjoy a free evening in "the city that never sleeps". Overnight in Tel-Aviv.
Day 4 -Wednesday
After breakfast in the hotel we will take a culinary tour in the Carmel market and The Yemenite quarter including tasting. The market is the best place to meet local people, taste food, encounter cultural artifacts, and obviously, get the best souvenirs. After lunch we will drive to Jerusalem to walk in the old city. This was the place where the Jews built the Temple, where Jesus was crucified, and where Mohammed rose to Heaven. We will discover main sites in Old Jerusalem, as well as meet its markets and taste its sweets. Overnight in Jerusalem.
Day 5 - Thursday

We will learn how to bake hallah and focaccia in the Chef's home, and continue with her to a culinary tour at Ein-Karem. After lunch we will say goodbye to the participants who signed for the 5-day vacation. The others will continue to a bakery tour at Jewish Orthodox neighborhood in Jerusalem.
