Day 1
Start your 5-day Vilnius tour with a transfer from the local airport, bus or railway station. One of our friendly drivers will take you to your chosen hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to explore Vilnius independently, walking through the Old town, visiting most popular museums or trying traditional Lithuanian cuisine in authentic Vilnius restaurant.
Day 2
After breakfast, you will meet our experienced guide, who will lead you around the cobbled streets allowing you to enjoy the most important sites, as well as giving you the information and stories that go along with this amazing old city during the following 2-hour Vilnius Old Town walking tour. You will discover the most significant sights and important places in the capital of Lithuania, which Old Town is one of the largest surviving medieval old towns in Northern Europe. You will explore major attractions of Vilnius - the main church of Vilnius Cathedral Basilica, the oldest street in the old town - Pilies street with original buildings ranging from 14th to 19th century, Gothic architecture ensemble - St. Anne"s, Bernardines, St. Michael"s churches, the 16th century Gates of Dawn that originally formed part of the town fortifications. The tour continues to the Orthodox church of the Holy Spirit, built in the 17th century, with the preserved bodies of three martyred saints Anthony, Ivan and Eustachius. At the end of the tour your guide will advise you the best museums and restaurants that you can visit in your free time.
Day 3
Enjoy breakfast and then you will begin the day with a Trakai sightseeing tour to the fairy tale castle set in a lake. During this tour you will see medieval and dreamlike Trakai, located not far from Vilnius, in a wonderful place of nature, which is full of lakes and constitutes a common theme of songs and poetry. This town is a witness of the Lithuanian DukesĀ“times, as a long time ago Trakai was a capital of Lithuania. Afterwards you will return to Vilnius. The tour will end in the city centre.
Day 4
After breakfast you will continue to discover Vilnius during our 2-hour walking Mysterious stories of Vilnius Catacombs tour. You will find out the most interesting legends and learn more about the magnificent past of the capital. This tour will reveal the history of Lithuanian Grand Dukes and provide a unique chance to see the royal mausoleum, the oldest Lithuanian fresco and the remains of ancient cathedrals which used to stand on the same site ages ago. Other highlights of this spectacular tour include a visit to catacombs of one more church and Amber Gallery as well as an overview of some other famous places of Vilnius.
Day 5
Check out of the hotel after breakfast, before 12.00pm. After that, you will be transferred to the Vilnius airport, bus or railway station.
