This 5-Day River Cruise Safari is designed for the African wildlife enthusiast who enjoys the sights and sounds of the African bush. This safari starts in the south and slowly moves to the north of the Kruger National Park, one of the largest wildlife reserves in Africa, once in the north you will make your way out of the Kruger Park at Phalaborwa Gate and onto a private lodge where you will enjoy a River Cruise on the Olifants River watching crocodiles, hippos, elephants and a wide variety of other game.

This 5-Day River Cruise Safari is designed for the African wildlife enthusiast who enjoys the sights and sounds of the African bush. This safari starts in the south and slowly moves to the north of the Kruger National Park, one of the largest wildlife reserves in Africa, once in the north you will make your way out of the Kruger Park at Phalaborwa Gate and onto a private lodge where you will enjoy a River Cruise on the Olifants River watching crocodiles, hippos, elephants and a wide variety of other game.Day One: You shall be collected this morning by your driver from one of the specified Hotels/ Guest Houses between 6am and 6:30am and transferred through to Nelspruit to meet up with your guide. If flying in to OR Tambo departure shall be no later than 7am in the morning as it is a good 4 hour drive to Nelspruit. On arrival in Nelspruit you shall change over to your Open Safari vehicle for your 45 minute drive to the camp of Nkambeni just within the Kruger National Parks Numbi Gate. Check in to the lodge and depart by 4:30pm on a Sundowner/Night Safari.
Day Two: This morning you will depart camp at 6am for a full days game viewing stopping off at Skukuza camp for breakfast and then continuing on to Satara Camp for the evening. If Satara is fully booked you shall then carry on to Olifants Camp for the evening. Check into Camp and dinner will be served in the restaurant at 7pm.
Day Three: Departure from camp as the gates open and make enjoy game viewing along the way to either Olifants Camp or Letaba Camp for breakfast, you have the opportunity to still see Lions either on a kill or on the prowl as well as Leopard and Cheetah wandering around before the heat of the day. After breakfast enjoy the Elephant museum at Letaba camp before another game drive in and around this Northern section of the Kruger National Park with its large amount of herds of Elephants and a variety of Bird Species. Make your way to the Phalaborwa Gate of the Kruger National Park and on to the lodge Kambuku and Olifants River Safaris which is home for two nights. After check in you depart at 3pm on a afternoon/sunset cruise, meandering along the waters of the magnificent Olifants River, watching crocodiles, hippo, buffalo, elephant and a wide variety of other game. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day Four: Spend the whole day starting with an experience you will never forget. Enjoy a warm African breakfast on the house boat while being transferred to the pickup point of the Greater Kruger National Park by your guide and open safari vehicle. Enjoy looking for the Big 5 before returning on the houseboat back to the lodge. Enjoy a light lunch at the lodge and time to relax before departing once again on a Sunset Cruise, dinner on the Boat and night game drive before returning late evening back to the lodge for a good nights rest.
Day Five: This morning after or before breakfast you will be taken on a Guided Bush Walk in the Greater Kruger National Park where you will learn more about birds, spore, trees and things you never get to see from a vehicle. You may also spot the Big 5. Transfer you back to Phalaborwa Airport for your mid-day flight back to Johannesburg. Fight departs from Phalaborwa Gateway Airport at 1:15pm.
