You will visit Santa Cruz and stay in a special, private giant tortoise reserve, mix with the locals and explore pirate caves on Floreana, and enjoy the unforgettable views from Bartolome Island, all while getting a real flavor of the islands, the wildlife and the local people.Day 1 – Arrival (L, D)
You will arrive in the Galapagos and dive into adventure with a transfer to the Itabaca Channel to kayak, snorkel and stand up paddleboard (SUP) where you will see wildlife such as blue-footed boobies, sea lions, pelicans, and white-tipped reef sharks. You will transfer to the Santa Cruz highlands to an exclusive giant tortoise reserve and tented camp for the evening.

Day 2 – Bartolome Island (B, L, D)
You will board the 16-passenger Sea Finch yacht for a trip to Bartolome, with one of the most dramatic views in the Galapagos. Hiking to the top comes with the chance to learn about the local flora and fauna.

A dinghy ride lets you search for penguins, followed by a wet landing on the island’s main beach where you can relax on the sand or snorkel where you might see tropical fish, sea stars, or even penguins under water.

Optional: Darwin Research Station and Galapagos Capital

A visit to the Charles Darwin Research Center gives you the chance to learn about the Darwin Foundation’s conservation efforts in the Galapagos. You can also walk through Puerto Ayora afterward, and have a drink at one of its restaurants or nose through shops and boutiques.

Day 3 – Floreana (B, L, D)
You depart for Floreana Island (2 hour speedboat crossing), and transfer by open-air bus to Floreana Lava Lodge, overlooking one of the Galapagos’ most beautiful and secluded bays. Take a late morning walk or paddle (kayak or SUP) to nearby Black Beach for snorkeling.

In the afternoon, you will paddle (kayak or SUP) across the bay to explore La Loberia, a sea lion breeding ground, then snorkel or swim with sea turtles, sea lions, rays and an abundance of tropical fish.

30 minute walk or kayak/SUP back to the lodge.

Day 4 - Floreana Highlands (B, L, D)
En route to the highlands, your guide will share the history of Floreana's first inhabitants, as well as tell us about the "Enigma of Floreana," involving the mysterious deaths of several of the Island´s inhabitants, and was featured in the film “The Galapagos Affair.”

You will hike to explore the pirate caves and visit the spring that provides fresh water for the Island. Expect to see giant tortoises en route. A post-hike stop at a farm lets you watch the extraordinary behavior of the frigate birds who ‘dance’ as they wash their salty wings in a fresh water lake (seasonal).

Free afternoon.

Day 5 - Departure (B)
An early morning speed boat back takes you back to Santa Cruz and transfer to your flight.
