During the tour you will see all the major art collections of the Hermitage, including main buildings of the Museum: Winter Palace, Small Hermitage, Old Hermitage, New Hermitage and General Staff Building with the Impressionist collection!Meet your guide by the entrance to Moika 22 Kempinski Hotel at 11:00 am. Please respect yourself and others, and arrive 15 minutes earlier for proper registration. The guide is very easy to recognise as she is always wearing signature blue scarf and a HERMITAGE TOUR sign.
Once everyone has registered, the tour will depart. Please note that waiting time for late guests is 10 minutes only.
Everyone will then proceed into the Museum for the tour.
The tour covers 4 main buildings of the Hermitage Museum: Winter Palace, Small Hermitage, Old Hermitage, New Hermitage and General Staff Building with the Impressionist collection.
During the tour you will see state palace interiors of the Winter Palace, the most glorious tsar residence in Russia, started by Empress Elizabeth I and finished under Catherine the Great's rule. Explore magnificent art collections assembled by the Imperial family and carefully saved from destruction by the staff of the museum during the Second World War. You will see the highlights of the 15th-18th century European Art collection like Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael, Veronese, Tintoretto, Tiepolo and other world-famous names, as well as enjoy the museum's collection of Impressionists and Post-Impressionists.
Hermitage theatre is not available for tours.
The tour follows the most complete and the most interesting route along State Palatial Interiors of the Winter Palace, including the Peacock clock at the Small Hermitage. Multiple art galleries with French, Italian and Dutch art.
