Half day excursion with comfortable bus to discover the Mount Vesuvius, one of the last active Volcano of the Southern Italy.Departure in the morning by comfortable and air conditioned bus to Mount Vesuvius. The bus and the guide will leave you at 1000 metres high.
The climb till the crater’s edge is really pleasant and the view of the bay is breath-taking, in fact the mount dominates the Bay of Naples with its characteristic cone. From the top, you can observe the whole extent of the southern part of the volcano and the city of Herculaneum. During the walk you will see the old funicular that inspired the song “Funiculì Funiculà” and the old Capannuccia. Mountain guide available on the Volcano in case you need help or information during the climbing.
Return in Sorrento for lunchtime.
