Golf in Scotland on the the world famous Old Course St Andrews where the game began over 600 years ago and two other championship courses. Stay three nights at Deveron House, a fine old Georgian Town House built in the early 1800s offering a unique blend of modern comfort and traditional Scottish hospitality. Golf on the Old Course with famous 17th Road Hole followed by the magnificent walk over the Swilken Bridge and up through the Valley of Sin, you can almost hear the applause! Golf on the New or Jubilee Courses parallel to the Old Course and Kittocks with stunning views over the North Sea and St Andrews Town. (Edinburgh airport taxi desk will book your transfer to St Andrews, only a 45 minute scenic drive- own expense). Deveron House is a fine Georgian Town House built in the early 1800s and offers a unique blend of modern comfort and traditional Scottish hospitality. Stay in one of the handsomely furnished bedrooms, all with en-suite facilities.
Enjoy lunch in the Links Clubhouse (own expense) then golf on the Old, New, Jubilee or Kittocks championship courses. There is a daily shuttle bus for golf transfers included. Golf on the Old Course with the famous 17th Road Hole and the 18th with a magnificent walk over the Swilken bridge and up past Old Tom Morris' shop through the Valley of Sin in front of the massive putting green - you can almost hear the applause! St Andrews operates a ballot system for golf on the Old Course and we will enter golfers details into the ballot and tee times are drawn two days before play. Golf on the championship New or Jubilee courses run parallel to the Old Course, the British amateur and other major tournaments have been played on both courses with amazing double greens and large bunkers, tee times will be available on the day of play. The Kittocks course has spectacular views over the North Sea and St Andrews Town and similar in places to Pebble Beach, golf tee times are booked one day before play and on the day of play.
Welcome cocktails with tour guide who will recommend places to visit including the British Golf Museum, St Andrews University where Prince William graduated, the five star Fairmont spa and leisure club in St Andrews. Other tours can be arranged to local fishing villages and places of interest.
Day 2: Golfers play the Old, New, Jubilee or Kittocks courses. Your guide will recommend places for lunch and dinner (own expense).
Day 3: Golf on the Old, New, Jubilee or Kittocks championship links courses.
Day 4 - 9am. After breakfast depart St Andrews and take a scenic drive to the Waverly Bridge in Edinburgh (transfer back to Edinburgh at own expense and can be arranged through supplier). Once back in Edinburgh (not guided) take an open top bus tour to Edinburgh Castle, Whisky Heritage Centre, Holyrood Palace, Royal Yacht Britannia and try your shopping skills on the Royal Mile and Princes Street. After lunch (own expense) at the beautiful Dome on George St, board a tram or bus on Waverly Bridge to Edinburgh Airport. Bon Voyage!
