Day 1 [D]
Depart Bangkok for Saraburi. Visit Phra Buddha Badh with its shrine of the holy footprint of Lord Buddha, and lunch at local restaurant. Continue to Khao Yai National Park. En route, visit Wat Theppithak with its huge seated Buddha located on hillside and fruit market at Klang Dong. Dinner and accommodation at the Greenery Resort, Khao Yai.
Day 2 [B-L-D]
08:00 Visit Krong Keo waterfalls with an original bamboo suspension bridge and Haew Suwat waterfalls. Depart for Korat and visit Thao Suranaree Memorial, built in commemoration of the exploit of Khunying Mo, wife of the town’s second in command, who rallied her people to defeat Laotian invaders in 1826, under the reign of King Rama III. Visit Wat Sala Loi, with its main chapel constructed in the shape of a Chinese Junk using local materials—the famous earthen tiles from Daan Kwien. Lunch at local restaurant and continue to Pimai to visit the museum and the magnificent Khmer temples, the “Angkor Wat of Thailand,” Return to Korat, dinner and accommodation at DUSIT PRINCESS KORAT or similar hotel.
Day 3 [B-L-D]
08:30 Visit Daan Kwian village, famous for its earthenware. Continue to Prasat Phnom Rung, the most important Khmer temple in Thailand, situated on a hill. The monumental staircase is stunning and the sanctuary is one of the best examples of Khmer architecture. Visit Prasat Muang Tham, a Khmer temple older than Prasat Phnom Rung, with many well preserved bas-reliefs. Lunch at local restaurant in Prakhon Chai. Proceed to Surin, visit Prasat Hin Sikhoraphum, with its prangs. Dinner and accommodation at THONG TARIN or similar hotel.
Day 4 [B-L]
08:00 Depart for Si Saket, visit to Prasat Wat Sa Kamphaeng Yai, the biggest and most perfect Khmer Ruins. It comprises three stupas on the same base lining in North-South direction and facing east. This ruins was supposedly build in the 11th Century with Bapuan Art style of Khmer and was served as shrine for God Shiva before changing into Mahayana Buddhist temple later. Continue to Prasat Wat Sa Kamphaeng Noi, It was used for religious purpose and was called ‘Arokaya Sala’ to be served as community hospital in the 13th Century.
Continue to Ban Pa Ao, one of the oldest villages in Ubon Ratchathani. The villagers migrated from Vientiane, Laos during the reign of King Siri Bun San.The village is over 200 years old and has a special identity of its own which has been handed down from generation to generation by its ancestors, such as the craft of making bronzeware and weaving silk. Continue to Ban Kan Lueang Archaeological Site which situated in Wat Ban Kan Lueang. In 1992, the Fine Arts Department excavated the site.
Continue to Ubon Ratchathani Airport for flight TG 2029 to Bangkok (air-ticket is not included). Transfer from Suvarnabhumi Airport to hotel in Bangkok will be provided.
