1 Day: Huilcacocha Lakes Cordillera Negra
Hiking to Huillcacocha in Cordillera Negra is an easy access for beginners and experts. Huillcacocha 3600m, the stunning views of Cordillera Blanca are amazing. The trek is an hour. Arriving at the lake you'll be surprised by the wonderful views of the Cordillera Blanca and the impressive Huascaran massif being the highest peak in the Cordillera Blanca. At the end of the trek we will be back to Huaraz.
2 Day: Llanaganuco Lakes
Start in Huaraz at 3100masl. Pass the typical village of Paltay, Tarica, Jangas, Yungar, Anta appreciate the beautiful white mountains of Huandoy, Huascaran, Hualcan, Copa and others.
Photo-stop from the various viewing points. Continue to Marcara, Carhuaz, Carhuaz, then Yungay where seven degree earthquake took place May 31, 1970 at 3:20pm. Piece of the Huascaran mountain’s north peak broke off and caused a huge avalanche of mud and ice and in 6 seconds destroyed Yungay province. This is actually known as the saint field of Yungay which we will visit for 45 minutes.
Continue to Cebollapampa, start walking along the valley visiting the lakes and then do some horseback riding, some small boats sailing, or general free activity that will take place for about 45 minutes. We hike along the Maria Josefa trail which takes one hour to reach the bus then back the same way to Yungay for Lunch in a typical restaurant.
At the end of our day we will drive back to Huaraz where we will be arriving at around 7pm.
3 Day: Chavin de Huantar Pre-Inka Ruins
Departing at 7am we will start driving south Huaraz 25km first visit to Recuay at 3300masl, then Querococha lake at 3980masl, photo stop at beautiful landscape, pass of Tunel de Cahuish at 4500masl, point for hydro-graphical division, west side water flows to Pacific ocean and east side water flows to Atlantic Ocean. Continue along the river arriving to Chavin at 1pm.
We will stop here for lunch at one of the local restaurant until 2pm.
Continue our day visiting Chavin ruins on a guided tour for 2-hour. Visit ruins and Lanzon the Chavin, cavezas clavas main porch and among others, finalizing in the modern museum of Chavin Culture.
At 4pm back for a non-stop drive to Huaraz for 3-hour by the same way arriving at around 7pm.
4 Day: Partoruri Glacier Tour
Driving south huaraz, at 25km, visit Recuay at 3300masl, Ticampampa 3400masl, Catac 3500masl, Pachacoto, wonderful landscapes, visiting lake patococha.
Next stop at Gasified water drinkable flowing. After we will stop at the enormous flowers of Puya Raymondi, and changing colour small lake at pumapampa continue to petroglyph paints.
After few kilometers we will arrive to Pastoruri parking place. You can make easy hiking or horseback ride to get to Pastoruri. Enjoy a walk around and visit the Iced Lake and Ice cave. After few hours of staying in Pastoruri, we will head back the same way until catac for late lunch and then we will drive directly to Huaraz arriving at around 5 or 6pm.
