After breakfast, you will be picked up from the lobby of your hotel at 8 o'clock to visit the Humble Administrator's Garden, an UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most famous gardens in Suzhou. Built in 1510 A.D. by a retired imperial envoy and poet, the garden consists of a conglomerate of pavilions and bridges situated among a maze of connected ponds and islets.
Nex, visit Suzhou Museum, designed by I.M. Pei, an internationally renowned and award-winning architect whose most reputed work is the glass-and-steel pyramid at the Louvre in France. Here, you will appreciate a collection of ancient Chinese arts. Lunch will be provided at a local Chinese restaurant where you will enjoy the famous dish of squirrel-shaped mandarin fish.
In the afternoon, continue to Shan Tang Old Street, the First Street in Suzhou. Then, take a boat ride along the canal to Tiger Hill, known for its natural beauty and historical sites. Afterwards, enjoy delicious dinner on Ping Jiang Road and catch an elegant Kunqu Opera show where you could also see actors putting on their unique makeup. Later, stroll along Ping Jiang Road to see small canals, unique shops, and typical Suzhou style architectures.

At 8:30am, your guide will pick you up from the hotel lobby to visit Lingering Garden, one of the four most famous gardens in China. The garden covers an area of 46,477 square feet (23,310 square meter) that is divided into four sections of distinctive themes: East, Central, West, and North. Among them, the east section was praised as the best of its kind south of the Yangtze River. Pavilions are a primary feature of any Chinese gardens which occupy one third of the Lingering Garden. An unique feature of this garden is its 2,297 feet long covered walkway connecting them.
Next, visit Embroidery Institute. "Su" (referring to Suzhou) embroidery is one of the oldest embroidery techniques in the world. Its origin can be dated back to more than 2,000 years ago. A Suzhou styled noodle lunch is provided after the museum trip. In the afternoon, continue on to a Silk Factory where you will see the complete cycle of silk manufacturing process from silkworm raising, cocoon sorting and boiling, silk reeling and rewinding to packing before return to the hotel. You may catch an optional night garden show in Net Master Garden at additional cost to see Suzhou folk dance and music performances.
