Embark on a local seafarer’s boat early in the morning and cruise across the Sarawak River mouth to the Salak and Kuching Wetlands National Park. Our professional English speaking guide will be sharing some information about the Santudong area while searching for the rare Irrawaddy Dolphins and see some of Sarawak’s fascinating wildlife.Our driver will collect you at your hotel in Kuching city early in the morning around 8:30am and head to Sarawak Boat Club, where the river cruise boats depart.
We will cruise slowly along the river and searching the Irrawaddy dolphins around the boat. They are often spotted in Santubong area, one of the best places in Sarawak to spot them. These dolphins are wild creatures and therefore sightings cannot be guaranteed.
Our boat will roam to Kuching Wetlands National Park to see the majestic mangroves. We cruise across the mangrove-lined river looking for wildlife such as mudskippers, crabs, shell fish, proboscis monkeys and crocodile. Crocodiles are a protected species in Sarawak and they are often seen on the mud banks.
You will be transferred back to your hotel after the amazing cruise.
