This 3-hour Trastevere food tour gives you the opportunity to learn about real Roman cuisine and its history while tasting some of the best food Rome has to offer. We will take you to a mix of Rome’s most famous food stops and tiny, family-run gems, where you’ll get to meet the passionate people who are dedicated to creating this city's cuisine, talk ingredients, recipes, and traditions. The popular Trastevere and the Jewish Ghetto are two postcard neighborhoods of narrow, cobblestone streets with medieval buildings all weaving on and out of each other, fantastic restaurants, and overflowing bars. Here you will meet people full of character and living life to the full, good basic food with so much flavor. As a backdrop to our walk Trastevere will surprise you, especially because our tour does not exclusively visit the famous squares and streets known and visited by most. We also travel the intricate alleyways and hidden corners and go off the beaten paths.
We are dedicated to supporting small businesses, eating local, seasonal, and being fully immersed in the community.
All the stands, restaurants, cafes and markets have been chosen for being part of local food system because we truly believe local food tastes better and brings huge benefits to the community and to the environment.
The tour is a walking, tasting and learning tour. The tour has a maximum number of 6 participants and we're happy to personalize it in case you have any preferences.
