3-hour Shaolin Temple Walking Tour

This unique walking tour takes you through and introduces you to the Shaolin Temple and surrounding areas with a native, English-speaking guide who has spent time learning at the temple. Enjoy a lunch inside the temple along with a tour of the Pagoda Forest.Take 3 hours to experience the unique life and culture inside the Shaolin Temple and thoroughly learn what it is like to live and study there. Not just throughout history but also the temple as it is today. The tour, available from June to October, is led by a guide who has spent time learning Kung Fu at the temple and will be able to introduce you to the temple area with a wealth of knowledge.

Step back in time to discover the stories of the founding of the temple, Bodhidharma, and the many ups, downs and personalities the temple has seen in its long history. See how the temple is used in modern times and learn how the monks live and work now. There will be a lunch served at the temple as well.

Depending on if you choose to travel in the morning or afternoon, the itinerary is slightly rearranged. For the morning tour, you will meet your guide and explore the Pagoda Forest first, followed by the temple tour and lunch. On the afternoon tour you will start with lunch, do the temple tour, and end with the Pagoda Forest tour.
