Guest to make own arrangements.Cameron Highlands is a hill resort, at 1,500 meters with temperatures 10 to 25 degrees Celsius. It was discovered by a British Surveyor Sir William Cameron in 1888. Camerons is known for its farmlands, tea plantations, orchards, nurseries, waterfalls, rivers, lakes, mossy forest etc. The jungle dwellers are the aborigines.
Day 1
7am - Depart for Cameron Highlands, en-route Free Batu Caves tour - a limestone outcrop with 272 steps to enter into the temple of Hindu deity Lord Subramaniam who is honored during the Hindu festival of Thaipusam in January or February every year. Decent attire is mandatory for ladies to enter the temple. Continue journey with a photo shoot of the cascading waterfalls. After lunch visit the BOH tea plantation which works closely with World Wildlife Fund and the Malaysian Nature Society in the conservation of our elephants and orang utan. The butterfly farm and the insectarium are a thriller. Pluck fresh strawberry for own consumption. The vegetable and fruit market stroll and the cactus and flower gardens are other interesting sights.
5pm - Check into 3 star hotel. Free at leisure. Meals and hotel included.
7pm - Dinner is "Hot Pot" a signature dish in the Camerons which fits well for the cold weather. Bring along sweaters as the nights are cold.
Day 2
7am - Depart for Taman Negara. Taman Negara is a 130 million years old tropical rainforest, home to various types of animals such as tigers, elephants, tapirs, sun bears, rhinoceros etc and 300 different bird species, 14,000 flowering plants.
Upon arrival you will begin your adventure with the Canopy Walk. You will then jungle trek to the Teresek hills, and enjoy some packed snacks along the way. Then jump onto a boat for some exciting rapids shooting and visit an aborigine village where fire making skills and blowpipe hunting techniques are demonstrated. Prepare to immerse yourself in the unique culture!
Later that night after dinner the night jungle walk is interesting as the nature guide takes the lead to "hunt" for wildlife as in spiders, snakes, scorpions, owls insects and more. Please bring along a rain coat, torch light and dress code would be long pants and long sleeved shirt.
10pm - Back to hotel. Meals and hotel included.
Day 3
7.30am - After breakfast at your hotel, you will be guided to the shuttle bus for onward journey to Kuala Besut Jetty to catch the ferry to the Perhentian Island.
