Enjoy a 2-night trip to the Sahara Desert from Fez. Spend one night at a kasbah, and one in a Berber desert camp.Day 1: Fez - Ifrane - Midelt - Ziz Gorges - Erfoud - Rissani - Merzouga
Your guide will pick you up early in the morning to begin your drive towards the Middle Atlas Mountains. Most of the day will be spent winding way through the beautiful forests, jagged rock faces, and Berber villages that grace this mountain chain. Begin your descent of the mountains, then continue the journey towards the Sahara. You will have a lunch break in Midelt, which is known for its fossils and rocks. Upon arrival in Merzouga, take a refreshing shower or have a dip in the swimming pool (depending on the weather).
Overnight at kasbah in Merzouga, Meals: Dinner
Day 2: Merzouga Desert
Change into a 4x4 and drive into the towering sand dunes of the Sahara desert of Erg Chebbi. While driving through this fabulous landscape, black, nomadic black tents appear in what can truly be described as the middle of nowhere! Visit a nomadic family for tea and experience a taste of the nomadic life. Continue the drive and enjoy and encounter with the nomadic Berber people with a visit to Khamliya, a village which appears to remain unchanged for centuries. Have lunch either in Khamliya or at the nearby hotel. After the break, join a camel caravan to experience one of the most fascinating sights, the superb sunset in the middle of the high sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. Stay the night in a Berber camp and enjoy a wonderful view of the sand and stars.

Day 3: Merzouga - Midelt - Ifrane - Fez
Wake up early to enjoy a magnificent sunrise in the dunes, then travel by camel back to the hotel. After freshening up and enjoying breakfast, you will leave for Fez. Again travel via the Ziz Valley and the Middle Atlas mountains, leaving the desert behind and heading for Fez. Drive through the cedar forests of Azrou pause to observe/hand feed the Barbary Apes. Continue via Ifrane, a small ski resort and known as the 'Switzerland of Morocco', arriving in Fez in the early evening.
