This 3-day excursion will leave you with memorable experiences and a taste of beautiful Shanghai. Enjoy staying at a hotel at the top of Huangshan mountain and multiple cable car rides. You will also have the opportunity to visit Mount Huangshan and even explore neighboring villages to observe the daily life of locals.
Day 1: (D)
At 6:00am, you will meet your driver at your hotel in Shanghai’s city center and transfer to the railway station for your morning high speed train. (G1509@8:27-13:13) to Huangshan. When you arrive in Huangshan you will be met by your local English-speaking tour guide and driver at the station. Your guide will then bring you to visit Huangshan and place you on a shuttle bus to Yungu Cable Car station, which takes about 30 minutes. From here, take the cable car up and take in the breath-taking views. In the evening, you will stay overnight on the top of the mountain.

Day 2: (B, L, D)
After breakfast, your guide will take you to visit the Xihai Scenic Area including the Cloud Dispelling Pavillion. After that, you will have lunch at the foot of Mount Huangshan – the Yellow Mountain. Delight in a typical Anhui lunch at a local restaurant, after which you’ll take the cable car down. Next, visit Yixian and Hongcun Village; villages that have been listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites due to their traditional Southern Anhui-style architecture.
Many films were filmed here, including Oscar-winning Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, and Nanping. Hongcun is arranged in the shape of an ox with the nearby hill (Leigang) interpreted as the head, and two trees standing on it as the horns. Bridges across the local streams can be seen as the legs, while the houses of the village form the body. There are about 150 residences there today, dating back to the Ming and Qing Dynasty – a once in a lifetime experience. Drive back to Huangshan where you will check in to your hotel and have dinner.

Day 3: (B, L)
Take a morning tour to visit the Tunxi Old Street. The street is a tourist’s paradise with a huge selection of shops, old Anhui-style architecture, and restaurants with local food. You will have lunch at a local restaurant here and spend some time souvenir shopping. You will then transfer to the train station so that you may take your train back to Shanghai independently.
