Day 1: Vientiane
Upon arrival at the Wattay International Airport, also known as Vientiane International Airport, you will be greeted and transferred to the centrally located hotel. Vientiane is a charming and fascinating capital, with an interesting mix of Lao, Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese, French, and American influences. After a short rest, we start visiting the major sights of the capital; including the Wat Sisaket, the oldest temple with thousands of miniature Buddha statues and the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo, which previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image. En route to Lao’s national precious heritage, the famous and sacred structure of That Luang Stupa, you will have the opportunity to take some pictures of the imposing Patuxay Monument, which is well known as Vientiane’s own Arc de Triumph. Overnight in Vientiane.
Day 2: Vientiane Sightseeing (B)
After an early breakfast, visit the morning market then drive out of town along the Mekong river to the extraordinary Buddha Park. Spend the afternoon at your leisure with an evening stroll along the banks of the Mekong to catch the sunset, and have dinner in one of the riverside cafes where you can sample weird and wonderful dishes such as deep fried crickets. Overnight in Vientiane.
Day 3: Vientiane – Departure (B)
After breakfast, spend the morning in the Lao National Museum, which displays an interesting mixture of revolutionary and contemporary exhibitions, and also visit the Morning Market for a wide range of colorful textiles including silks, wall-hangings and other decorative pieces. When the tour ends, you will be transferred to Wattay International Airport for your onward journey.
