Fly in a seaplane over the 30,000 Islands of Georgian Bay. As the only 2 passengers in the plane, you and your partner will watch the sun set over the islands in this 35-minute romantic getaway for 2.
The romance will begin when you arrive at the seaplane terminal building on the Town Docks in Parry Sound, about 45 minutes before sunset. After a seamless check-in by our friendly staff, you'll be escorted onto our dock and shown the aircraft you'll be flying in, a 3 passenger Cessna 180 just for the two of you. Our flight crew will familiarize you with the aircraft and get you prepared for flight, and fitted with a headset.
Snuggle up in the back and prepare for takeoff, with your camera at the ready of course! After an exhilarating water departure from Parry Sound Harbour, you'll climb to 1500' ASL. You'll see the Town of Parry Sound, the local Beach and Coast Guard Base as you turn towards the ghost town of Depot Harbour (complete with fish farm). Then head over to Killbear Provincial Park and out towards Georgian Bay. Next is Snug Harbour, a quaint fishing village, most popular for it's access to the archipelago of the 30,000 Islands and it's beautiful lighthouse.
Follow the glacial carved shoreline south to Sans Souci, where you’ll do a fly-by of famous Henry’s Fish Restaurant. At Sans Souci you'll turn northbound over the body of islands and lakes that make up the Massasauga Provincial Park as you head back towards Parry Sound. Pass the swing bridge to Parry Island, and come around for a smooth water landing back at the Harbour. After de-planing, you'll be given a lovely gift basket with flutes and champagne enjoy on your own time.
