Three day tour in the heart of Emilia far away from the noise of town life and highway traffic. A pleasure for visitors to walk or ride along the banks of the longest Italian river, to discover an area rich of history and food traditions where the Po river is not the only an important waterway for trade, but also the essential element for the environment.
Day 1
Depart from Bologna and visit Sorbara, where you will visit a vinegar factory and have a tasting of the local food. Continue to Boretto and visit the river port, then visit the Royal Palace in Colorno.
Day 2
Visit Zibello, located along the Culatello road (a type of cured ham) and the Po bank, also visit Busseto and Roncole Verdi, where you will visit Verdi's house.
Day 3
Visit the Royal Palace and Parmigiano Reggiano museum in Soragna and have some tasting of the famous cheese. Also visit Fontanellato, which is one of the most famous villages of the area, enriched by the presence of the Sanvitale family since the end of the 1300s, who left the most significant trace with the castle in the center of the village. In Castelfranco Emila, visit the village and stop for an aperitif. The tour ends with the return to Bologna.
