Here you can feed them, pamper them and give them a nice mud bath, first learn how to cook and later getting the responsibility on your own as well seeing and get to know a lot of other fun facts over a spectacular 2-day trip!
Day 1
Your day will begin with a pickup from your hotel in Chiang Mai at 9am. Relax and enjoy the ride for approximately 45-minutes until you reach the Thai Elephant Care Center.
Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by the Instructor Team. They will give an introduction on the Thai Elephant Care Center and the details of your 2-day program. Once you are aware of the excitement awaiting you, you will proceed to the Elephant Camp’s Homestay to check-in for the night. You will be provided with a special outfit to wear.
At approximately 10:30am, your program will begin. You will start the day by visiting the elderly elephants. After this, you will learn how to prepare appropriate food, such as natural medicine and herb balls. As you do this, you will learn how they benefit the elephants.
At noon, take the elephants out for a mud spa. Have fun with this for about an hour, then return to the camp where lunch will be served.
After lunch you’ll be given the opportunity to take the elephants to the waterfall for cleaning. You will even be able to jump in and take a bath with the elephant, if you want!
After this, you will learn how the elephants are treated with basic health care treatments and then you will get a chance to feed the elephants, they particularly enjoy ground grass!
See how the elephants relax after a busy day before taking them to the jungle for the night. You will help the caretakers clean the residences of the elephants before retiring for a well-deserved dinner. After this, enjoy a nice sleep at the Thai Elephant Care Center Homestay.
Day 2
Start the day early, at approximately 7am, and enjoy breakfast at the camp. Be sure to put your special outfit on again before departing to check, prepare, and clean the elephant residences.
You will enter the jungle once more and lead the elephants back to camp. Once they are back safely, you will be able to feed them their breakfast, to prepare them for the fun day ahead. Learn how to prepare special treats for the elephants, made from herbs. Once the elephants are well-fed and ready for the day, it’s time for another spa treatment. After the elephants have received their treatment, it will be time for you to enjoy lunch back at the camp.
After lunch, you will be given one more chance to bathe with the elephants. Soak up the feeling of this special experience!
After this you will assist in giving basic health treatment, as well as walking exercises with the elephants to help keep them flexible.
You will then participate in a special mystery activity that will surely leave you with great stories to tell you friends and family back home!
Enjoy one last feeding session with the elephants, feeding them snacks and food, before enjoying a farewell party!
You will then depart back for your Chiang Mai hotel, taking your special, everlasting memories of this unique 2-day elephant experience with you.
