On this 2-day tour of St. Petersburg you will get to see the most colourful and impressive sights of the city such as the Hermitage Museum, Peterhof Grand Palace, Catherine's Palace, and much more. You will see stunning art collections, beautiful and colourful architecture, scenic parks and cathedrals and learn about Russian history.
Arrival in Saint-Petersburg (prior to day 1 of tour)
You will meet your driver at the airport (or railway station) and be transferred to your hotel.
Day 1: St. Petersburg
Meet your guide and driver at the designated departure point, and begin your tour. First, you will stop and see the sphinxes near the spit of Vasilevsky Island, and then visit St. Peter and Paul Fortress. You will also get to see St. Peter and Paul Cathedral (this is the first building of the ancient city of St. Petersburg and there are tombs of the Romanov dynasty in the Cathedral). You will then stop for lunch (own expense) and continue on to your next destination.
Next, you will visit the Hermitage Museum, which houses famous art collections inside beautifully-sculpted architecture.
After the museum, you will see The Savior on Spilled Blood, the famous church of the Russian-styled, dazzling and colourful exterior, interior and domes.
You will head back to your hotel in the evening, and may participate in an optional evening program upon request (own expense).
Day 2: St. Petersburg
Meet your guide at your hotel, and depart for Peterhof, the summer residence of the Tsars, also known as the "Russian Versailles". Peterhof (Petrodvorets) is a jewel of Russian art, a city of parks, palaces and fountains. Visit Peterhof Grand Palace then take a walking tour through Peterhof Park .
