This trip combines best of 2 day tours; a horse ride in the incredible Andean mountain and a visit to one of Ecuadors’ main attraction, the Otavalo Indigenous Market. The horses that are used are mixes between Andalusians, Arabians and local criollo horses. The horse ride will take between 3 and 5 hours, depending on the level of the participants. During the ride, you will see Andean villages and a lot of traditionally dressed Ecuadorians; it's also possible to see wild horses, foxes, and birds (sometimes even condors). In the middle of the ride you will have a lunch picnic and at the hacienda there is a delicious 3-course dinner waiting.
At the hacienda there are cows, alpacas, llamas and, of course, the horses. There is a beautiful view over Cayambe city, the Cayambe volcano and sometimes you can even see Quito. At night you can sit next to the fire place or enjoy the beautiful stars of 2 hemispheres because you're now located so close on the Equator.
The rooms are very comfortable and some even come with a Jacuzzi.
The next morning you can take an optional mountain biking lap or just relax until private transportation takes you to Otavalo where you will have enough time to stroll around and to shop the local handcrafts. After a local 2 course lunch, you will head back to Quito.
