Day 1: Prague — České Budějovice — Cesky Krumlov — Hluboká nad Vltavou (L)
You’ll be picked up from your Prague hotel or a central meeting point in the morning. Your journey begins by traveling through the peaceful countryside of South Bohemia to České Budějovice, the region’s largest city. See the imposing Black Tower and the town’s historic square is lined with Renaissance and Baroque-style houses.

Continue south to the small city of Cesky Krumlov, picturesquely situated above a meandering valley along the upper Vltava River. More than 300 historic buildings, the dominating Cesky Krumlov Castle and the Church of St Vitus bear witness to the city’s rich past. Visit the castle with your guide and explore the UNESCO World Heritage-listed old town, Old Cesky Krumlov, where you’ll have lunch at a local restaurant with your group.

Then make your way to the town of Hluboká nad Vltavou. Check in to your 4-star castle hotel for your overnight stay.

Day 2: Hluboká nad Vltavou — Prague (B)
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before spending the second day at your leisure. You can create your own itinerary today, with recommendations from your guide.

Consider walking through town and visiting the Ohrada Hunting Lodge or the Ohrada Zoo, playing golf at the sports complex, or going biking around town. Be sure to visit Hluboká Castle, a striking 13th-century castle that is considered one of the most beautiful in the country. It has undergone many renovations: first a Gothic castle, it was expanded during the Renaissance period and then rebuilt into a Baroque castle in the early 1700s. It reached its current appearance in the 19th century when Johann Adolf II von Schwarzenberg ordered its reconstruction in the romantic style of Windsor Castle.

In the evening, head back to the hotel to board the coach and journey back to Prague.
