This 2-Day adventure starts at 1pm in Ulvsbomuren, an old forest farm from the 17th century, neighboring close to the small village of Ramnäs. It is less than a 1-hour drive by car from Västerås Airport and only 2 hours from Arlanda Airport. You can even travel by train to Ramnäs, where a pickup can be arranged.
Following settling in to your timber cottage, the 3-hour guided mushroom picking adventure awaits. You will learn about the variety of mushrooms growing in the neighborhood and even prepare some of them for your evening meal. Partake in a picnic in the forest once the group finds a nice spot to sit down and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Afterwards, head back to the farm and begin to prepare the mushrooms then take some time to relax on the large wooden deck with a beautiful view over the fields. A 3-course dinner will be served with ingredients from the farm and the forest such as game, lamb, mushrooms and wild berries; all locally produced, freshly harvested and well prepared.
After a good nights' sleep and breakfast, you will have time for additional activities such as experiencing the forest and observing wildlife on the hiking pay. One extra day and night at Ulvsbomuren is available and includes one lunch, a 3-course dinner and breakfast.
