Meet your guide at Strathfield Train Station, located around 20-minutes by train from Sydney's Cenral Station. The tour will start with a brief introduction and explanation of the itinerary.
A stop will be made for a morning tea break approximately half way to Tilba.
Upon arrival in Tilba you will enjoy a real Aussie BBQ and sample the famous cheeses made of locally produced Jersey milk at the ABC Cheese Factory. After lunch you will be able to wander around and marvel at the beautifully restored historic cottages and the wide range of wares the shops offer: sweets, apparel & accessories, toys, homeware, giftware, antiques, collectables and so much more! In the afternoon Devonshire tea will be served at Eumun Tea with freshly baked scones and homemade jam. Afterwards, we will visit an operating Australian dairy farm (weather permitting) and see the cows that provide the beautiful rich jersey milk used for making the cheeses.
Late afternoon, arrive at your hotel in nearby Narooma. After a little rest, you will have the option to explore the local restaurants for dinner. (Please note: Dinner is not included in the package).
Day 2
After breakfast at your hotel, you visit the spectacular Foxglove Spires Gardens created by Susan Southam and subject of her book “Velvet Pears”. Here you can wander around at your own pace and admire the versatility of the different plants and enjoy the tranquility.
The next stop is Tilba Valley Wines. This beautiful boutique winery set amongst the rolling hills of Tilba is full of character. Owner and winemaker, Peter Herrmann, is passionate about producing a wide range of superb wines, which you will be sampling while having a Ploughman's lunch of local produce.
On the way back to Sydney we will stop for an afternoon tea break approximately half way.
