Spend 10 hours visiting the monasteries of Wadi el Natron. Leanr about St Antony who was the first monk who found monasticism life in Egypt.Your tour guide will meet you in your hotel in Cairo. From there you will be driven by modern air-conditioned vehicle to Wadi El-Natrun that will take approximately 2 hours. Wadi El-Natrun is home to a remaining 3 monasteries that have survived from the 50 monasteries that were previously in the area.
Start your trip with Deir al-Baramus which is the oldest of the surviving 3 monasteries, and in many ways the most isolated. Then proceed to Deir Anba Bishoi whose body is still in the monastery. You will end your trip with Deir El-Suryani which is the smallest and most compact of the 3 monasteries. There will be an optional stop for lunch before transferring back to your hotel.
